Ready, Set, PAUSE!

Hey there, pumpkin!

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Before we get immersed in all the holiday shenanigans and running around like turkeys with our heads cut off (ha!), I just wanted to take a few moments to talk about gratitude. If you have ever been in one of my classes, you know that I ALWAYS mention that giving thanks is one of the most important things you will ever do.

Why?

Because when you focus on what’s going well and express heartfelt appreciation for what you already have, you create the space to experience even more of that. Think about it…when you give thanks, you have more to be thankful for…it’s that simple.

This is not magic, it’s the law of attraction (well, actually it really is quite magical.) Where our attention goes, energy flows… and creates more of that. So why not create more love, compassion, peace, joy, abundance, gratitude, awareness, acceptance, laughter, playfulness?? Why spend time worrying about that which may not ever happen? This only creates anxiety and stress in the body and mind…which only gives us the feeling of separation from our Spirit. I would know, I lived in fear and anxiety for much of my life…worrying about what others were thinking, worrying about all the what if’s, and planning for the other shoe to drop…

THERE IS ANOTHER WAY

FOCUS ON WHAT YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR

Let’s sit with this for a moment: Right here in this very moment, you are rich and and blessed and abundant in soooo many ways!
You have a healthy body that allows you hug and walk and dance and feel the sun warming your skin…and you get to taste yummy food and take in beautiful sights and listen to incredible music and laughter. And let’s not forget the lovely smell of fresh flowers and the tops of baby’s heads!
You have friends and family that you adore and who adore you as well.
You have so many gifts and talents that you share with the world every single day.
You have a safe, clean, warm home to live in. And clean clothes. And food. And gas for your vehicle. And a computer (or a smartphone) that you are reading this on…
You have a powerful legion of angels and guides who love you unconditionally that you can call upon ANY time…You have the love of God right there within you…!

I realize I am just scratching the surface here, but you get my point: What we focus on expands. What we put our attention towards grows. We all have free will and with that blessing comes responsibility. I am responsible where I put my energy. I am responsible for how I show up in this world. Only I can change my perception and look for the good, and in so doing, I create the change I wish to see.

You see my friends, it’s a WE THING. WE are responsible for how WE show up. And when we show up from a place of love, we create more of that…and who doesn’t want more LOVE!!!?!

I invite you to take a few moments each day to expand this list…find the blessings, and in so doing, you will expand them. I am so very grateful for you and all the love and light you bring to this incredible beautiful, messy, enchanting, joy-filled world. I wish you a FANTASTIC week filled with peace and compassionate bliss!
