Hello, gorgeous!

Summer is in full swing here in The Valley of the Sun! By the time you read this post I will be taking a little sabbatical by the sea, which has actually inspired this article. Today I was feeling crafty so I created this jar of bath salts. Hey, why wait to be near the sea when you can bring the elements of the ocean right into your bathroom?

The salts I used in this recipe have a cleansing and detoxifying effect (like the sea) while soothing tired, sore muscles. The Lavender oil brings a calming sense to the entire nervous system while the Lime oil refreshes and revitalizes. This is so easy and fun to make. They make great gifts, too. Here’s the recipe:

1 cup Epsom salt
1 cup sea salt
10 drops of Lavender essential oil
15 drops of Lime essential oil

Put all the ingredients in a glass jar and shake to mix. Add to your bath as desired. I use a sea shell that I collected on the beach as a scoop. I also like to keep some Citrine near the jar to empower the blend with all kinds of solar goodness. Be sure to keep the lid on when you’re not using it in order to maintain the pungent aroma.

Sending you lots of mermaid kisses and dolphin wishes!
