Happy Equinox!
It’s Autumn Equinox for us here in the Northern hemisphere and Spring Equinox for those of you in the Southern.
So, this is our First Official Day of Fall! (My favorite time of the year!!) Time to bust out the fall décor. (Mine has been out since the first of September. LOL!)
Whether it’s Spring or Autumn where you are, this day is all about energetic balance.
Here are a couple of simple rituals you can do to celebrate the essence of the season:
1. Write a list of all you have accomplished since the last Equinox. Give thanks for all of the abundance in your life and celebrate your accomplishments. You deserve it!
2. Gather with friends and/ or family and share a mindful meal including freshly harvested fruits and veggies of the season. We’re having grilled veggies caramel dipped apple slices as part of our celebration. CLICK HERE for some yummy (and healthy) Fall recipes.
3.Create an altar that includes your favorite images, poetry, flowers and stones that represent what you’re transitioning into this coming season. Some of my favorite crystals to work with this time of year are Citrine, Tiger’s Eye, Smoky Quartz and Green Aventurine.
4. Write a list of all you are letting go of (detoxing from) and then safely burn it. Spend some time meditating on the feelings and experiences you’d like to have in the coming months. Write out any ideas or visions you have on a new piece of paper and look at it every day to keep the energy of what you’d like to manifest flowing.
5. Take a bath to cleanse and clear old energies, thoughts and behaviors. Add some of your favorite herbs, flowers and essential oils along with some Epsom salts for added comfort and detoxification. Some of my favorite plants for this season include Calendula flowers (dried or fresh), Sunflower petals and Chamomile. Add a little more plant magic with a few drops of some or all of the following essential oils: Frankincense, Patchouli and Orange.
However you ever end up celebrating this beautiful day of balance and light, I hope you have a very Happy and Blessed Equinox!
