I remember donating all my scrubs when I stepped away from my career in nursing once and for all. Some of the messages from others around me were like…”maybe you should hold on to some of them, just in case.” In case what? All of my dreams are just make believe and way too good to be true? In case I suddenly wake up tomorrow and decide that having my own healing center somehow goes away?!
I admit, part of me wanted to listen. You know, the fear-driven part that is afraid of what other people will think if I claim that I am actually intuitive (even though we ALL are), and that I pray and meditate every day and doing so has given me a life beyond my wildest drams, and that I talk to angels and that my relationship with them HAS CHANGED MY LIFE IN WAYS THAT I COULD HAVE ONLY IMAGINED!?
Yep, that voice was there. Yep, it wanted to be heard. So I allowed it to have a voice…in writing, in sharing my fears with others, etc. But, did I listen…? Nope! I took that huge garbage bag filled with all of my scrubs right over to Goodwill, blessed the people that were going to receive my bright, fun patterns, and then I Let. Them. GO!
I learned a long time ago that you can’t receive anything new if your hands are clenched tight in a fist, holding on to what you currently have “in case” nothing better comes along. Can you relate? What (or whom) do you need to let go of to free up some space for something new?
You can do it!
Just start with one thing…
YOU CAN DO IT!
And you don’t have to do it alone.
I support you.
I BELIEVE IN YOU AND YOUR DREAMS!
Affirmation to support you in letting go: I release all thoughts, behaviors and patterns that no longer serve me. I am open to ALL of the ABUNDANT opportunities that The Universe has in store. And so it is!
