Hi there, pumpkin!

Happy November to ya!

I wanted to chat a bit today about the importance of “plugging in” on a daily basis.

What is your daily practice?

Here’s what I know…when I take the time for self-care and create the space for an on-going relationship with Spirit (whatever your understanding of that is), my life is less chaotic and peace-filled. After all, this is THE MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP I have AND it sets the tone for all of the other relationships in my life. When I take the time to plug in, I tend to respond from a place of love and kindness rather than react from a place of fear of defensiveness. I notice that I am less likely to take things personally and…

I feel HAPPIER!

I feel FREER!

And who doesn’t want that?!

So…I take the time EVERY SINGLE DAY to create my day…even when I’m traveling…even when I don’t feel well…even when I have somewhere to be…I make the time to plug in. Sure, some days I may only spend five minutes, other days I spend up to an hour depending on how much time and how I feel in the moment.

So, I just thought I would share with you what I did today, and if you feel inspired to share what you do to stay plugged in, please do so. I would LOVE to hear from you!

Pretty much every morning, I stretch out my arms and thank God for another day. I ask to be guided in thinking and actions so that I may be of maximum service today. I invite in my angels and other helpers and then I usually grab a cup of Chai tea. This morning I came into my office and plopped down into my chair. I listened to Colette Baron Reid’s “Deep” meditation track off of her “Grace” CD, which is awesome by the way.

(If you need help finding some meditation music, check out youtube. I am currently listening to this heavenly music as I type this.)

First I sprayed one of my favorite angel sprays over my head and closed my eyes. I have few stones that I am currently working with. A big Quartz crystal (which is sitting on the desk next to me) and a piece of Canvansite that was gifted to me from a dear friend.

I held the Cavansite in my left hand (this is the hand for receiving) and just continued taking long, deep breaths as I listened to the music. At some point I felt guided to send love and light to people that I know are struggling in some way. I also asked Archangel Michael to watch over my hubby as he rides his Harley around town today. Afterward, I gave thanks and then felt inspired to write this post. That’s it!

Easy peezy!

Nothing fancy…

Sometimes I might pull a few oracle cards. Sometimes I write out or repeat some affirmations aloud. Sometimes I journal. Sometimes I take a nice long soak in the tub filled with Epsom salts and essential oils if I have a lot of time. Sometimes I sit outside and listen to the birds…but no matter what I do on any given day, I make sure to create the space for a loving relationship with my Higher Power and ask for guidance.

After all, I once heard if you don’t create your day, it will create you…and I have found this to be so true. How ’bout you? What will you create today?

Sending you lots of love and ooooodles of light!

Angel blessings!
