Spring is often the time of year that brings ideas of cleaning, clearing and detoxification. With all the beautiful new growth in nature surrounding us, I think humans are inspired to look within and around in their own environments to see what no longer fits. This creates huge opportunity for new growth and expansion in our lives. Here in our home, we have been cleaning, clearing and de-cluttering. We spent the weekend working on some projects around the house that really spruced up the space. Now I have a pile of stuff ready to donate, and I know that these items will be able to bless someone else. Over at my office, I did some deep cleaning and rearranging of the furniture. It feels good to release the old and create space for the new, doesn’t it?
I felt a new energy come in and felt inspired to continue the process inwardly. I have increased the amount of greens that I eat and water that I drink and WOW! What a difference! I feel GREAT and have even released a few extra pounds! I’ve also been super mindful of how much time I spend on social media and television lately. I don’t touch my phone for the first hour that I am awake (unless I want to find some good tunes to listen to.) Instead, I spend time reading, journaling, praying and meditating. Some days are different than others. Just yesterday, I took my morning ritual to my yoga mat instead of the couch where I normally meditate. Last week, I spent time on the back patio instead. The point is, I am mindful about starting my day and what I want to create – before the day creates me. Little things like this create huge shifts in the way I think and feel throughout the day. It sounds simple because it is…yet the impact is undeniable.
So, where could YOU do a little detoxing?
Maybe it’s releasing an unhealthy relationship or habit … ?
Maybe you would like to release some excess clutter and “stuff” around the house … ?
Maybe you’d like to spend less time on your phone or in front of your television and more time LIVING and EXPERIENCING life with your family and friends … ?
Maybe you’d like to create a daily practice or eat a little better … ?
Whatever it is, I BELIEVE IN YOU!
I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!
Think for a moment … what is one action step you can take toward your goal?
Now, write it down. There are countless studies out there that have proven that people who write their goals and dreams down have a much higher success level than those that don’t. Give it a try! What do you have to lose? (Well, besides time, money, self-esteem, happiness … you get my drift.)
Next, make the commitment to start, just start. You will be amazed before you are half way through.
If you need some support, consider finding an accountabil-a-buddy. Connect with them often until you reach your goal. I am also available to offer support.
Make it a beautiful week, my friend! Until next time …
KNOW that I believe in you and … you are so loved!
