I just love aromatherapy, don’t you?!

The use of pure, high quality essential oils will enhance any meditation practice (and it smells Divine, too!) Whether you meditate in bed, at your kitchen table or on your yoga mat, the following information offers you a SCENT-sational (I know, super cheesy) way to enhance your daily practice. After all, each oil carries its own unique healing energy into your space, creating a strong sense of overall well-being.

For instance, lemon, rosemary, clary sage, and eucalyptus are all excellent for clearing your energy and detoxifying your body/ mind.

Lavender, chamomile, ylang ylang and bergamot all invoke a sense of peace and relaxation.

Orange, lemongrass, lime and grapefruit inspire joy while rose, geranium, jasmine and neroli (this is the oil derived from those AMAZING tangy-sweet orange blossoms…AAAAAH!) bring the essence of love.

Sandalwood, frankincense, cedarwood and patchouli offer grounding and balance.

If you’d like to create your own unique meditation spray, here’s a quick formula you can try:

Making an Aromatic Spray

Supplies:

  • One ounce bottle with spray top
  • One ounce distilled or filtered water (You can also add witch hazel as a preservative if you’d like.)
  • Essential oils of choice (20-30 drops total per ounce)

Directions:

  • Blend ingredients listed above to your liking (add water first to prevent spilling oils)
  • Spray into halo over head
  • Inhale deeply
  • Repeat as necessary

THAT’S IT! That’s all there is to it! SUPER simple, huh?

I know you will LOVE having your very own aromatherapy spritzer to use during your meditation practice. Let me know how it turns out for you.

Happy blending!
